Pakistan conducted a successful test launch of an indigenously developed extended version of the Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the weapon system was “equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids” and could engage targets at extended ranges with “high precision and lethality”.

According to the media wing, the test also validated additional “technical parameters” of various sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.

“Today’s launch was witnessed by senior officers from Pakistan Army along with scientists and engineers of the developing agency,” the ISPR further added.

It said the president, prime minister and services chiefs commended the successful test launch and appreciated the “technical prowess, dedication and commitment” of all those who contributed towards achieving the milestone.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the nation on the successful test.

Naqvi stated that the successful test was a “commendable achievement of our scientists and engineers”, further adding that it was a “significant development” in the defence sector. “I congratulate our scientists and engineers, and we are proud of them”.

“Pakistan’s defence is impregnable,” he added.

On September 30, 2025, the Pakistan Army had successfully conducted a training launch of its newly developed Fatah-4 at a range of 750 kilometres.

The Fatah-4 is designed to evade enemy missile defence systems due to its terrain-hugging capabilities, ensuring high precision when engaging targets. The missile’s features enhance its lethality and survivability, boosting the effectiveness of Pakistan’s conventional missile systems.
