Civilians martyred by Indian Border Security Force near the Pakistan-India international border in Kasur
Two civilians were killed and another was injured after Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel opened fire near the Pakistan-India international border in Kasur, state media reported on Friday, citing security sources.
Pakistan TV said in a post on X that the incident reportedly occurred when three residents from Ladhar village moved a few steps beyond a border pillar. Security sources claimed that the BSF personnel opened fire on the men without a warning.
The deceased were identified as Azmat Rasool and Mohsin Jutt, both residents of Jattan Wali Haveli in Ladhar, the sources said, adding that the third man was also injured in the shooting.
According to the sources, all three men were unarmed and had not attempted to cross the border fence.

The security sources further emphasised that the firing constituted a violation of the arrangements and standard operating procedures governing the international border.
