Rioters exploited a protest in Azna, Lorestan, to attack a police station

Fresh clashes between demonstrators and security forces killed three people in western Iran on Thursday, according to the Fars news agency, on the fifth day of cost-of-living protests.

“Around 6:00 pm today, a group of rioters took advantage of a protest gathering in Azna, in Lorestan province, to attack a police commissariat. Three people were killed and 17 others wounded in clashes,” Fars said, in apparent reference to civilian victims.
