Thirteen people, including four women and a father and son, were killed while seven others, including two children, sustained injuries in separate accidents and firing incidents across Balochistan.
Five people, including four women, were killed and two children injured in a road accident at Goran, some 60 kilometres from Panjgur city, on Tuesday. Police, rescue teams and the local administration rushed to the scene after receiving information and shifted the bodies and injured to hospital.
Police said the victims belonged to Kahda Abdul Hakim Bazaar in Prom tehsil of Panjgur. The bodies were handed over to the heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.
In Kohlu’s Garsani area, an unidentified armed man shot and killed a person and escaped from the scene. Similarly, Aziz Muhammad was killed when unidentified armed men opened fire in Gadar area of Surab before fleeing.
In Loralai’s Mekhtar area near Jalebi Mor, two motorcyclists, Amanullah and Yousuf, were killed when a speeding vehicle hit their motorcycle. A truck overturned while its driver attempted to save the motorcyclists, leaving him injured.
In Jhao area of Awaran, unidentified gunmen opened fire, killing a father and his son. Police shifted the bodies to hospital and handed them over to the heirs after completing the necessary formalities.
According to police, motorcyclist Ahmadullah was killed and Mohammad Akhlaq and Noorul Haq injured when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle on the national highway in Bakhtiarabad.
