Terrorists attack Bostan police station

QUETTA:

Armed terrorists launched an assault on Bostan Police Station late Thursday night but were forced to retreat after a determined resistance by police personnel, officials said.

According to Advisor on Interior Babar Yousafzai, the attackers opened heavy fire on the police station. Despite the intense gunfire, officers held their positions and fought until the last round, preventing the militants from overrunning the facility. The main building of the police station remained secure due to the timely and effective response by the police.

Reinforcements from District Police Pishin, the Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) rushed to the scene and advanced to support the embattled personnel. Taking advantage of the darkness, the attackers fled the area after setting two vehicles on fire.

Yousafzai confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident. The terrorists were compelled to withdraw in the face of sustained police resistance and the swift arrival of security forces.
