110 more students return from Afghanistan

Border security sources said 70 Pakistani students had also been repatriated about a month ago

ISLAMABAD:

Another 110 Pakistani students stranded in Afghanistan due to Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions have returned home through the Torkham border, while authorities also allowed 592 Pakistani cargo trucks to re-enter the country.

Border security sources said 70 Pakistani students had also been repatriated about a month ago. They said the phased return of students and cargo vehicles was made possible through the efforts of prominent industrialist and ANP Khyber district president Haji Shireen Khan Afridi, with support from diplomatic staff and border security officials of both countries.
