A senior leader of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and self-styled defence minister, Qari Amjid alias Mufti Muzahim, has been killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bajaur district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, sources confirmed on Thursday.
The Khorasan Diary wrote on X that Amjid, a key figure within the terrorist group, was killed early in the morning during the security operation.

Amjid had previously held several senior positions within the TTP, serving as the group’s deputy chief, shadow defence minister, and a member of its leadership council.
He was designated a Specially Designated Global Terrorist by the US State Department in November 2022 for his role in militant activities and leadership within the outlawed organisation, Khorasan Diary quoted.
