Caitlyn Jenner’s harsh reaction to OJ Simpson’s death: “Good Riddance”

After OJ Simpson’s death, Caitlyn Jenner shared her feelings on social media with a post saying, “Good Riddance #OJSimpson.”

O.J. Simpson’s family announced on Wednesday that the athlete passed away in Las Vegas from prostate cancer.

Caitlyn’s Connection to OJ

Caitlyn Jenner was once married to Kris Jenner, who was married to Robert Kardashian, Simpson’s defense lawyer.

Robert Kardashian and OJ Simpson had been friends since their college days at USC. Simpson even stood as best man at Robert and Kris Jenner’s wedding. Robert Kardashian also represented Simpson in the trial for the murder of Simpson’s ex-wife.

Robert and Kris divorced in 1991, four years before the trial. At that time, Kris was married to Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce Jenner.

Kris and Robert Kardashian had four kids: Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob. Caitlyn and Kris have two daughters, Kendall and Kylie.

The Infamous Trial

On June 12, 1994, Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman were found murdered. OJ Simpson, with a past of violence against Nicole, became the main suspect.

Simpson stayed at Robert Kardashian’s house to avoid media attention. At one point, Kardashian was seen with a bag that prosecutors thought might have evidence.

Instead of surrendering, Simpson tried to escape in his white Ford Bronco, leading to a slow-speed police chase that was captured live on air becoming one of TV’s most-watched events.

The trial became a huge media circus, where Simpson was found not guilty. However, in 1997, a civil suit found him responsible for the death of Goldman and battery against Nicole Brown Simpson.

Caitlyn’s Belief

During the trial, Caitlyn Jenner, who was married to Kris, believed Simpson was guilty.

“I knew he did it,” Jenner told Andy Cohen in 2017. “There were three people at the crime scene: DNA evidence, three people at the crime scene. Pick a murderer. How hard is that?”
