Sussexes and Waleses reportedly hoping for reconciliation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aim to put their differences aside with Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton, especially following Kate’s recent battle with cancer.

“Harry and Meghan want to show respect and avoid adding stress to an already difficult situation,” a source tells Us Weekly.

“They understand the need for space and will gladly give it.”

The Sussexes and the Waleses have experienced a strained relationship since Harry and Meghan’s marriage in 2018.

The rift deepened following the couple’s decision to step back from royal duties and relocate to California. Accusations of negative press leaks contributed to the tension.

However, Kate’s cancer diagnosis, publicly announced in March, has shifted perspectives.

Another source notes, “It puts things into perspective for Kate and William.” They now prioritise healing the family rift.

“William and Kate want a healthy relationship with Meghan and Harry for the sake of their children,” an insider reveals to Us Weekly.

The couples envision a future where their children – George, Charlotte, Louis, Archie, and Lilibet – can share a close bond.

Despite this desire for reconciliation, neither side has initiated the first move towards mending their relationship. There’s potential for change.

While the brothers haven’t had a meaningful conversation recently, Harry has extended an invitation to his family for the upcoming Invictus Games in London.

It remains to be seen if the trip will spark a reunion.

Harry is also on better terms with his father, King Charles III, who is also facing a cancer diagnosis.

Their relationship has improved, with Harry recently visiting Charles at Buckingham Palace.
