NCT’s Taeyong calls for ‘boycott’ of K-pop groups Starbucks Collection

In a recent development that has stirred the K-pop community, NCT’s Taeyong briefly posted an Instagram story with the word “Boycott” amidst growing controversy over the group’s new collaboration with Starbucks.

The post was swiftly deleted, but not before catching the eye of fans and netizens worldwide.

The collaboration announcement between NCT and Starbucks was met with immediate backlash due to Starbucks being listed as a company to boycott by the BDS movement, following accusations of supporting activities in the Middle East considered by many as oppressive.

Fans of NCT were quick to recall the ongoing global boycott and expressed their dismay over the partnership.

Taeyong’s mysterious post added fuel to the fire, leading to widespread speculation about his stance on the matter.

Screenshots of the now deleted post spread like wildfire across social media platforms and Korean forums, showcasing different angles to verify its authenticity.

Fans commended Taeyong for his apparent act of solidarity, though the reasons behind the swift removal of the post remain unclear.

Speculation among netizens suggests that the deletion of the Instagram story could be linked to pressures from SM Entertainment, NCT’s managing agency, given their business relationships.

The agency has not issued any statements regarding the incident, leaving fans to ponder the implications for Taeyong and the group.
