Johnny Depp flaunted his dramatic lifestyle change with a slimmed-down look and shorter hair during a night out in London’s Mayfair.
The 60-year-old actor dined at Novikov, looking sharp in a black suit and grey coat.
While he hasn’t abandoned all his old habits – seen puffing on a cigarette – Depp seemed in good spirits and even signed autographs for fans. Interestingly, he sported two pairs of glasses at once.
Friends told The Daily Mail that the star has been enjoying London life and embracing a healthier routine. This change might also be in preparation for his role in an upcoming Dior campaign.
Depp’s appearance follows his attendance at the UK premiere of his new film “Jeanne Du Barry,” where he plays Louis XV and speaks French.
Last year, he addressed the public perception of a “comeback” after the highly publicised defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp maintained that he “didn’t go anywhere.”
During the trial, Johnny’s sister Christi Dembrowski, had also testified that Amber Heard had insulted her brother several times calling him an “Old Fat Man.”
“She called him an old fat man”, Dembrowski said during their trial.
She also shared details about another incident where Heard had allegedly made a jibe about Depp’s physical appearance after the Pirates of the Caribbean star was approached by fashion brand Dior.
“Johnny told Amber that I had just had a meeting with Dior and they were interested in him”, she said.
“Her reaction to that was she was in disbelief and sort of disgust because she said ‘Dior, why would Dior want to do business with you? They are about class and they are about style and you don’t have style’.”
