Govt to provide RLNG to new Lahore consumers

LAHORE:

The federal government has decided that new domestic gas consumers in Lahore will be provided through Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG), sources in the petroleum ministry said on Saturday.

According to officials, the price of RLNG is linked to international crude oil rates, making it 2.5 to 3 per cent more expensive than natural gas.

New connections will be issued in phases. Priority will be given to applicants who have already deposited demand notices, followed by those who paid urgent fees. Applicants who have only submitted requests will be accommodated in the third phase.
