In a recent address, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong outlined China’s vision for a multipolar world, underscoring the need for equal treatment, fairness, and solidarity in global governance.
He highlighted that the current global transformationmarked by rising geopolitical conflicts, multiple crises, and growing disparities in peace, development, and governancehas brought the world to a critical juncture.
According to Jiang, the concept of a multipolar world is not only an inevitability but also a reality in the making. He expressed China’s commitment to advocating for a multipolar world that is not dominated by major powers but is built on principles of equality and inclusivity.
The ambassador reiterated that China’s stance promotes equal rights, opportunities, and representation for all countries, regardless of their size, and underscores the importance of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign nations.
He further stressed China’s support for the Global South, asserting that international affairs should no longer be monopolized by a few powerful nations. The development and resources of the world, Jiang stated, should be shared equitably among all countries, with a focus on achieving win-win cooperation and mutual benefits.
China has consistently championed the rights and interests of the Global South, with President Xi Jinping advocating for greater cooperation and unity among these nations.
Jiang also pointed out the importance of solidarity and coordination in tackling global challenges. In this context, China promotes an action-oriented approach that goes beyond narrow geopolitical interests and fosters cooperation.
This, he argued, is critical for responding to the world’s most pressing problems, as isolationist approaches such as protectionism and decoupling are counterproductive.
