Angelina Jolie has accused her ex-husband Brad Pitt, 60, of “financially draining her” amid their ongoing legal dispute over a winery they co-own.
The couple has been embroiled in this legal battle since their split in 2016.
In recently filed court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Jolie expressed the difficulty of defending herself against Pitt’s lawsuit, which she perceives as his attempt to control and financially burden her.
Jolie asserts that the deal fell apart due to Pitt’s insistence on a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to conceal his alleged history of physical and emotional abuse towards her and their family.
A source close to the situation told Daily Mail, “Angie says Brad is bleeding her dry – but it looks like she wants to bleed him dry.”
The source added that despite Jolie’s apparent ‘vindictiveness,’ Pitt has been supportive and has made efforts to assist her financially.
Initially, Pitt had expressed interest in buying out Jolie’s stake in the winery to keep it “in the family.” However, the deal collapsed amid disagreements.
Pitt later accused Jolie of breaching their purchase agreement when she sold her 50 percent stake in Chateau Miraval to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021 without his consent.
Jolie claims that Pitt’s demands were the reason the earlier offer to sell the winery to him for $54 million fell through.
